Assistance Available for Palm Bay Residents Financially Impacted by COVID-19
Palm Bay, FL – On August 6, 2020, Palm Bay City Council voted to accept an additional allocation of $342,255 in Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act funding to assist qualified residents who have been financially impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Eligible uses for the funding include rental and mortgage payment assistance and related counseling, utility payment assistance, emergency repairs, and housing rehabilitation.
Applications for assistance will be accepted from August 10 through August 28, 2020 or until all funding is expended. Eligible residents must be at or below 120% of the area median income and facing financial hardship due to COVID-19, such as unemployment or under employment. Qualified applicants will be served on a first-come, first-served basis.

All funding must be expended by December 30, 2020 and will be administered by the City of Palm Bay’s Housing & Community Development Division.
