Palm Bay – Structure Fire – Homicide Investigation
PALM BAY, FLORIDA (March 6, 2025):
On March 3rd at 11:47pm, Officers responded to a structure fire with reports of severe injuries on the 500 block of Balue Ln. Officers encountered a severely burned male and female, along with two other individuals. The male and female were airlifted to Orlando and the other two individuals were transported to a local hospital for smoke inhalation.
The female has been identified as 67-year-old, Louella Mitchel and has succumbed to her injuries. Her brother, 65-year-old Mitchell Henry is still in critical condition. Investigators have been working diligently to determine the circumstances and motive surrounding this incident. After several interviews and a review of the evidence, this incident is being investigated as a homicide.
We want to assure the community that this was an isolated incident and that there is no threat to the community.
